Modi went on to call the ‘Biwi No.1’ actress his better half. While there were whispers surrounding the couple who secretly got hitched a few days ago, Modi’s post fueled speculation about their marriage.
Modi took to his Instagram account to share a handful of holiday snaps as well as some of his old photographs with the former beauty queen. With his post, he marked the new beginning of his life, however, he said that the wedding was not yet planned. The businessman went on to say that by the grace of God, the wedding will also take place one day.
“Just returned to London from a whirlwind #maldives #sardinia world tour with the families – not to mention my #betterlooking partner @sushmitasen47 – a fresh start, a new life at last. Over the moon. Love won’t again say marriage. but the one that by the grace of the gods will happen. I just announced that we are together,â Modi captioned his Instagram post.
Lalit Modi shared the same message on Twitter. Her post got thousands of likes and shares within minutes. Several of his friends were seen congratulating him on his Insta post. The former union minister’s daughter Poorna Patel commented with love emojis, while former Miss India and socialite Queenie Singh wrote: “Glad to hear and happy for you.”

More celebrities have wished Lalit Modi on his post. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh shared a heart emoji on the post, while socialite Nisha Jamwal wrote “congratulations!!! You couldn’t have found a more beautiful, real and wonderful human being than @ sushmitasen47”. Entrepreneur Sheetal Mafatlal shared a heart emoji and fashion designer Nandita Mahtani posted hug and heart emojis on Modi’s post.

India todaywhile reacting to Modi’s post, said he was pleasantly surprised to add that he would tell his sister about it soon.

On Twitter, Sushmita Sen started trending Thursday night. While many users wished on the couple, many shared hilarious memes on occasion.
The 46-year-old actress was earlier dating model Rohman Shawl, 30. In 2021, the actress announced her split in an Instagram post. “We started as friends, we remain friends! The relationship was long over…Love remains,” Sushmita wrote with the hashtags #nomorespeculations.
In the early 90s, he started dating Minal Sagrani, who was nine years older than him. Despite resistance from their families, Lalit Modi married Sagrani on October 17, 1991 in Mumbai. Sagrani died of cancer in December 2018. Modi and Sagrani have two children, Ruchir Modi and Aliya Modi.
